Summer Concert 2026

Tuesday, June 16, 2026 - 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Petty Fever

Attention-Important Update

The City of Sandy’s upcoming concert, originally scheduled for Saturday, June 6th, has been rescheduled to Tuesday, June 16th at the same time (6:00pm-8:00pm).

This change is being made in response to the tragic events that occurred on May 31st. Meinig Park has been requested for use this week as a place for our community to come together to honor and remember those who were lost and those who were injured. As a City, we feel it is important to reserve this space for reflection, support, and healing during this time.

We are now going to kick off the first night of Summer Break with our first and only concert of the season on June 16th. We invite the community to join us for an evening of music, connection, and an opportunity to come together in a spirit of support and unity.

We appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you there.

This summer will look a little different at Meinig Park—but for a very good reason.

Beginning in mid-July, Meinig Park will undergo a series of much-needed upgrades designed to improve accessibility, comfort, and the overall visitor experience. These improvements include enhanced accessible pathways, parking lot upgrades, new picnic shelters, and a new restroom facility located closer to Fantasy Forest. While Fantasy Forest itself won’t see major changes at this time, it will be temporarily closed during construction to ensure public safety and allow for pathway improvements in the area.

As a result of this exciting construction project, our beloved Summer Sites & Sounds concert series will be modified for 2026. Instead of a full lineup of concerts throughout the season, we’ll be hosting one special kickoff event before construction begins.

Join us on Tuesday, June 16 from 6:00–8:00 PM for a can’t-miss performance by Petty Fever, a nationally recognized tribute band celebrating the music of Tom Petty. It will be an evening filled with familiar hits, great energy, and a chance to gather with friends, family, and neighbors in one of Sandy’s most cherished parks.

We invite the community to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and dancing shoes for a night of music, connection, and summer fun. Food vendors will be on-site, and as always, the atmosphere will be welcoming and family-friendly.

While we know many look forward to a full summer concert series, this one-night event gives us an opportunity to celebrate together before Meinig Park temporarily closes for improvements that will benefit the community for years to come. These upgrades are an investment in the park’s future—making it more accessible, functional, and enjoyable for everyone who visits.

We appreciate the community’s understanding and support as we take this important step forward. Though this summer may be quieter than usual at Meinig Park, we’re excited about what lies ahead and can’t wait to welcome everyone back to a refreshed and revitalized space.

In the meantime, we hope you’ll join us on June 6 for a memorable night of music and community spirit.
