Sandy Senior Center

The Community and Senior Center is our community gathering place for information, resources, recreational activities, senior group activities, and many other opportunities for social interaction. Various rooms within the center are available for rental for birthday parties, celebration of life, receptions, and group use.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

The Recreation and Senior Services Manager may determine the cancellation of classes, activities, and programs due to inclement weather. If cancellations occur, the City of Sandy Parks and Recreation Department will update the department's website by 8:30 a.m. on the day of the cancellation to inform the public. Additionally, staff will contact participants of pre-registered activities via email and phone.

We encourage the public to check the website or contact the Recreation and Senior Services Department directly (503-668-5569) for the most up-to-date information regarding closures and cancellations.

While classes, programs, and activities may be cancelled, the Sandy Community and Senior Center will remain open at the discretion of the City Manager and based on staff availability.
