Co-ed Adult Softball Summer League

FCH

What a season for the Sandy Adult Softball League!

This year, 12 teams battled it out across 84 scheduled games, all leading up to a thrilling two-day, double-elimination tournament. In total, 203 adults hit the field for a season packed with teamwork, competition, and unforgettable moments.

The championship came down to a dramatic showdown between the Farmers and Loggers and the undefeated Hoodlums. After a flawless 14-0 season, the Hoodlums looked unstoppable—but the Farmers and Loggers were hungry for redemption, with only one loss to their name (to the Hoodlums, of course).

They clashed over three different games on Sunday. Game one went to the Farmers and Loggers. Game two? Hoodlums answered back. It all came down to a final, high-stakes third game—and the Farmers and Loggers delivered, clinching the title and earning this year’s bragging rights in spectacular fashion!

The Farmers and Loggers had some amazing plays throughout the day with all star pitcher, Wayne, leading the charge! He threw pitch after pitch with enough spin on the ball to keep even the most experienced hitters guessing. Robin and Ashley defended the outfield against the crazy hitting might of the Hoodlums - at one point both were sprinting to catch a ball hit between them and they both caught the ball half body slamming into each other, half hugging, no injuries and an out for the Hoodlums! Amber was a wall at second base against the lightning fast Hoodlum runners and the game ended when a jaw droppingly powerful, blazing line drive was caught perfectly by 3rd baseman, Mckenna, leaving everyone stunned and sealing the win!

None of this would be possible without the incredible support behind the scenes. A huge thank you to all of our volunteer coaches, to our dedicated umpires—Kim, Keith, Tyler, Bryan, Dave, and Dennis—and to OTSD for providing access to the high school softball fields.

It was a season to remember—and we can’t wait to do it all again next year.
