Bike Camp

City of Sandy Parks and Recreation is offering Youth Bike Classes this Summer!

 
General Information:

Location: Cedar Park, featuring Base Camp – Sandy, Oregon

Registration Fee:

$75 for in-district residents

$85 for out-of-district participants

Dates: July 27th - 30th

Ages 6-9: 9:00am-10:30am

Ages 10-13: 11:00am-12:30pm

Parents must drop off & pick up at Cedar Park.

Learn how to have proper body position, braking technique, gear shifting, cornering, navigating hills, wheel lifts, track stands, riding over small features and enjoying the pump track.

Please bring a water bottle, helmet, and snacks. Make sure bikes are in good working condition. Class requirement: A beginning level bike has platform pedals, two hand brakes (front and rear), a seat that can move up and down, and is in good working condition. Single speeds are OK but a bike with gears will be more fun on the climbs. No coaster brakes, worn out tires or kickstands. A beginners helmet that fits properly, is in good condition, and is less than 5 years old.
