Invitation to Submit Proposals:

The City of Sandy Parks and Recreation invites submission of Proposals to provide demonstrated architecture and engineering service experience in Parks and Recreation projects.

In 2016, the City of Sandy purchased property now known as the Community Campus from the Oregon Trail School District. The site is 14.00 total acres, with 0.25 of those as developed acres, and 7.10 acres that is considered natural area or open space. This purchase included the Olin J. Bignall Aquatic Center, currently closed, and the old Cedar Ridge Middle School, also closed to the public. The site also included the purchase of a building called “The Annex” which currently serves as the location of SandyNet.

The City of Sandy Parks and Recreation department will select and contract with an architectural and engineering firm for the following two major objectives as it relates to the Community Campus site.

Scope 1, Park Design, Bid and Build: Full range of landscape architectural services for the anticipated park development and improvements from preliminary design through construction.

Scope 2, Recreation and Aquatic Center Schematic Design: Professional architectural/engineering design consultant to lead the design and development of a bond ready concept plan and specifications for the Recreation and Aquatics Center

The selected consultant will be required to coordinate all aspects of the Community Campus concept design. The consultant selected will provide design and construction of the park developments. The Recreation and Aquatic center concept will run in tandem with the park design, development, and construction.
