Mt. Storm Basketball League

Get Ready for the 2027 Mt Storm Basketball Season! Registration for our Mt Storm Basketball 3/4 and 5/6 Basketball League will open on September 21st!

Open to 3rd–6th grade boys & girls, this league is all about building skills, learning the game, and having FUN.

Practices start in December

Games run January–midMarch

Final Jamboree: March 13, 2027

Other Details:

5v5 format for all leagues

1–2 practices per week

$150/player (late fee of $50 after deadline, if space allows)

Registration Instructions:

The 3/4 grade league will have teams built based upon the schools the children attend, to the best of our abilities. Late registration may lead to your child being placed on a team with children who attend a different school.

The 5/6 grade league will have teams built upon a skills assessment (held the 1st week of November, specific dates TBD). There will open gym time for girls on October 27th and for boys on October 28th at the Cedar Ridge Middle School.

Please note the schedule is subject to change based upon OTSD gym space availability. Rescheduled practices and games are not guaranteed if cancelled.

Designation as a Team Coach is dependent on the approval of the Sandy Recreation Team, passing a city background check, attending all necessary training/meetings with the Parks and Recreation staff, and a first come, first serve basis.

You will be required to upload two documents as a part of your coach application: a certificate of completion of the concussion training course and a completed background check form.

We HIGHLY recommend completing the application on a computer and NOT a mobile device. The application will take approximately 45-60 minutes to complete.

We are currently planning on having games on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays at the Cedar Ridge Middle School from January to mid-March, with a final jamboree occurring on March 13, 2027. Practices will begin in December. Specific times will be designated and released November 2026. Game/practice schedule and locations are heavily dependent on OTSD gym availability and subject to change.
