Lego Club - Hoodland

Build Lego creations with your friends! Imagine what you can build with Legos!

Date: First Saturday of each month

Creation Station

Creation Station is a twice monthly interactive program that welcomes adults with developmental disabilities on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 10:00 AM.

Art Lab, on the 2nd Monday, will offer several arts and crafts stations with a variety of materials to accommodate different interests and abilities.

Maker Lab, on the 4th Monday, will offer puzzles, games, LEGOs and other building and problem solving materials.

Hoodland Book Club

Join us on the 3rd Tuesday of each month for a book discussion. 

December's book will be Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult

Women's Book Club

For women who love good books and like to talk about them.

The Women's Book Club meets the second Thursday of each month at 6pm in the Sandy Library Community Room.

For December 11th, we will be discussing Cinnamon and Gunpowder by Eli Brown.

Teen Makerspace - Group 2

Register for free to be a part of a teen makerspace group. Groups meet every other week for 10 weeks for a total of 5 classes. Makerspace group is a group of teens that gather to design, create, and experiment with a variety of tools and materials in a creative and hands-on learning environment. Learn a new skill and make new friends! Teens in grades 6 - 12 are welcome. A maximum of 10 participants per group. Example projects include: Tensegrity Tables, Infinity Mirrors, Glow in the Dark Ghost in a Jar, and Sunprinting!

Craft For A Cause/Cards For Seniors Take & Make - Hoodland Library

The Hoodland Public Library invites you to pick up a kit and make greeting cards for homebound seniors to celebrate the holiday season. Your cards will be distributed through the Hoodland Senior Center to their Meals-On-Wheels recipients. Some materials are enclosed in your kit and you are welcome and encouraged to use additional materials of your own.

Kits will be available while supplies last starting November 15th at the Hoodland Public Library.

Cards must be returned to the Hoodland Library by December 13th.
