Escape Room

Try your hand at puzzle solving to see if you can break out of our escape room, designed by the Teen Librarian. Find clues, use your wits, and work together with your team to make it out of the room in time! Players will be able to take photos commemorating their escape attempt, whether or not they make it out!

Creation Station

Creation Station is a twice monthly interactive program that welcomes adults with developmental disabilities on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 10:00 AM.

Art Lab, on the 2nd Monday, will offer several arts and crafts stations with a variety of materials to accommodate different interests and abilities.

Maker Lab, on the 4th Monday, will offer puzzles, games, LEGOs and other building and problem solving materials.

Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt

Gather your friends and find some eggs! The annual Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt happens on Friday, April 3 in Meinig Park. Meet us under the gazebo! Bring a flashlight, jacket and a bag for eggs. $10 gift cards will be awarded to 8 lucky teens that find the “golden eggs!”

The middle school egg hunt (grades 6 - 8) will take place at 8:00 pm.
The high school egg hunt (grades 9 -12) will take place at 8:45 pm.

Adult Egg Hunt

Date: Thursday, April 2nd
Time: 9:00 am - 10:00am
Location: Sandy Library

Kids shouldn’t get to have all the fun. Come to the Sandy Library for an Adult Egg Hunt! Look high and low to find eggs hidden all over the library. Find a “golden” egg and win a prize!   Bring a sack to hold your eggs while you hunt. Light snacks and refreshments are provided.

This program is for seniors and adults with disabilities.

Men's Book Club

For the discerning gentleman who enjoys great literature, and for those who just like to hang out with the guys.

At April's meeting, the group will discuss The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by Kim Michele Richardson.

Planning Commission Meeting

Deer Pointe Park

Deer Pointe Park is Sandy’s newest neighborhood park and a welcoming destination for recreation, relaxation, and community connection. Located in the Deer Pointe neighborhood, this beautiful 3.1-acre park features the city’s first covered full-court basketball shelter, providing year-round opportunities for play. Visitors can also enjoy an inclusive playground with soft, accessible ForeverLawn surfacing, paved walking paths, a picnic shelter, open green space, and landscaped areas designed for gathering and outdoor enjoyment.

Creation Station Art Show and Reception

Art Show

You are invited to submit your artwork for display for the March-May Art Show at the Sandy Library. There are several ways to participate. 

  • Create one or more works of art at our Feb. 23 and March 9 Creation Station programs (10am - 12pm).
  • Create one or more works of art at home or elsewhere using 11"x14" high quality art paper (mixed media or watercolor). You can get the paper from us, or use your own.

The theme this year is Animals: Real and Imagined
