DIY Mini Zen Garden

Zen gardens have been around for hundreds of years and are meant to be calming and encourage meditation. Decorate and design a Mini Zen Garden for your home or office.

Vision Board Workshop

Did you know that when you clearly visualize what you want for your life, your mind works to help make it come true? Come create a vision board for your life in 2026! Come for quiet time to focus on your priorities or bring along friends and make it a group get together! We will start with journaling prompts and reflection time followed by time to create a paper collage vision board of your hopes, dreams, and aspirations in 2026. All supplies are provided unless you prefer to bring something of your own.

Come discuss the book of the month, what you're currently reading/watching, or even just your favorites with other fans of manga and anime! Each month we will read a specific manga title or discuss a particular genre of the mediums!

Teen After-Hours Laser Tag

In our first after-hours program of the year, come play Laser Tag in the library! We will play multiple rounds of team-based laser tag games using the entire main area of the library as our playing field. Not playing the current round? Relax in the community room with snacks and music wand wait for your next game!

Sensory Storytime and Playgroup

Todos Juntos presents this inclusive playgroup, designed for families with children who have developmental needs and neurodiverse challenges. It offers a safe, supportive environment where children can engage in sensory activities tailored to their unique needs, while building essential social, emotional, and school-readiness skills.

Books with Booker

Do you have a child that wants to improve their reading skills? Come join the Hoodland Library for Books with Booker. Kids can sign up for 15-minute sessions with a licensed therapy dog. Books with Booker can help improve your child's reading skills, enthusiasm for reading, and interaction with pets. All dog handlers will be present during the duration of this activity.
