STORM DAMAGE CLEAN UP – SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 27TH

Chipper

Do you have tree branches and limbs from the recent ice storm that you need to get rid of? You can bring these items at no charge (limbs and branches only – no yard debris) to the Public Works -Transit Operations Center at 16610 Champion Way (across from Sandy Cinemas) between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM on Saturday, February 27th.

City staff will be on hand to help you unload and will chip up the debris for you. Please wear a mask and remain in your vehicle at the site. This service is limited to CITY RESIDENTS ONLY so please bring an ID with an in-city-limits address on it. In order that everyone may take equal advantage of this service we must limit the amount you bring to ONE PICKUP LOAD (bed-high) equivalent.

If you have more than one pickup load or don’t have a way to haul the debris you can use the City’s brush chipper free of charge at your home. City residents can make a reservation by calling 503-668-5310.

Please remember that a permit (no charge) is required to remove a street tree (between the curb and sidewalk) and that any street tree removed or destroyed must be replaced with a tree from the City’s street tree list. Visit the City’s website for more information and permit forms: https://www.ci.sandy.or.us/publicworks/page/street-tree-removal-and-planting-permit
