The Mountain Festival Kids Events are BACK!!!

 

Sandy Parks and Recreation is happy to continue their support of Mountain Festival by providing 3 free youth community events. 

Events

Pet Show:  Bring your favorite pet!  It can be a dog, cat, goat, rooster or even your favorite stuffy!

  • July 9th at 10:00am

Bike Derby:  Navigate your way to different stations that will show off your biking skills!

2025 Street Maintenance Project

  • Sealed bids for 2025 STREET MAINTENANCE PROJECT will be received by the City of Sandy until 2:00 P.M on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at which time bidding will be closed.  Bids and disclosure forms shall be submitted to Mr. AJ Thorne, Public Works Director at the Sandy City Hall, 39250 Pioneer Blvd, Sandy, OR 97055.

2025 Summer Sounds and Starlight Cinema

The Summer Sounds and Starlight Cinema is Sandy's annual "Concerts and Movies in the Park" event.  All concerts and movies are free events that take place at Meinig Park.  Concerts will start at 6:00pm and end at 8:00pm.  Movies will start at "Dusk".  For all of our Concerts there will be food and drinks available for purchase.

Family Storytime

Storytime for the whole family! Miss Monica will read picture books and we will all learn some songs and rhymes together.

Storytime in the Park

Join Miss Monica at the Meinig Park Gazebo for a fun-filled Storytime adventure! We’ll read engaging books, sing lively songs, and learn playful rhymes together. Plus, Todos Juntos will provide a special craft to make the experience even more magical. Bring a cozy blanket, pillow, or lawn chair, and settle in for a delightful time with stories and friends!

The Sandy and Hoodland Libraries are closed Thursday, June 19th in honor of Juneteenth. 

Power Play for the Planet - Hoodland Library

Saving planet Earth together can be loads of fun! Join us to play games, solve puzzles, and tackle wacky challenges with the Museum of Natural and Cultural History. The whole family will enjoy exploring the environment, designing solutions, and imagining a brighter future.

Terrific Trees - Meinig Park Gazebo

Come celebrate trees and summertime! We'll start by closely observing magnified artifacts from all stages of tree life cycles. Then we'll embark on a tree scavenger hunt to discover different types of trees, the ways wildlife use them as habitat, and how trees help us. Be ready to create some beautiful tree art, too!
