Open House: Community Campus Park Development Plan

We're getting started on an exciting project to re-envision and develop the Community Campus park (the lower field area behind the old Cedar Ridge Middle School buildings), and we want you involved!

Cedar Park Project History & Overview

Cedar Park, Sandy's newest community park, is now open in the heart of downtown. The park features Base Camp Action Sports, offering over an acre of year-round hard-surfaced areas for skating and biking. A 1/4-mile concrete looped walking path connects Cedar Park to Sandy River Park and the Sandy River. Visitors can enjoy amenities such as a zip-line, climbing rock, hill-slide, spinning dome, swings, and more.

Park patrons are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the posted park rules. To ensure the grass germinates effectively, please stay off grassy areas. Smoking is prohibited, and visitors are asked to treat the park with respect to maintain its condition for years to come.

For more information, visit the City of Sandy's official page on Cedar Park and Base Camp-HERE

The City Council has since adopted moratorium resolution extensions and three new moratoriums.
