SACC Holiday Passport Adventure

The holidays are right around the corner and we are excited to promote our 2nd Annual Over the River & Through the Woods Holiday Passport Adventure!

We will be kicking off the first week of December and continuing through Thursday, January 31, 2023.

Business Participation is FREE! This is a great way to market your business this holiday season so you don't want to miss out on the opportunity to be a top on the Passport.

More exciting news for this year - we are going digital! There will be no need for paper passports or keeping track of the stamps. Our hope in going digital is to make participating in the Holiday Passport Adventure easy on both our businesses and shoppers!

Business Participation Information

Grab a friend, family member or coworker and enjoy some of the area’s most beloved establishments! The Chamber would like to remind our community how important it is to shop locally this holiday season. By shopping locally, you are making an investment in your community and helping to shape its unique character and personality. Visiting local businesses keeps more money in the local economy, strengthens local jobs, helps the environment and encourages community all while supporting your friends and neighbors. More details will be shared on our website and Facebook page, so stay tuned! 

The Holiday Passport Adventure will encourage local shopping through the entire holiday season in the following areas:

  • Sandy 
  • Boring 
  • Welches 
  • Zig-Zag
  • Brightwood
  • Rhododendron 
  • Government Camp 
     

Business Involvement

  • Simply register to be a participating passport location, there is no cost. 
  • Businesses will be given signage to be displayed for shoppers.   
  • We would love it if you could share with your customers and friends or post about the campaign on social media, every little bit helps!
  • Registration Deadline* 12/05/22:
    • *Register by 12/05/22 to be included in the initial passport marketing and launch information. If you miss the deadline, don’t worry, we can still add your business to the passport! 
       

Why Participate? 

  • It’s FREE! There is no cost to be a part of the Holiday Passport Program
  • The Holiday Passport Program will be marketed by the Chamber, and shared with our local Cities, Community Organizations and advertised in local newspapers and on social media. This is a great opportunity for FREE local marketing! 
  • It’s easy! We are going digital this year so there will be no stamps or paper involved! We will provide each business with a unique QR code for the shopper to scan and receive their digital stamp! 
     

How do I sign my Business up?

This is great, how can I help? 

  • Sponsorship or Item Donation - We are looking for donations to use as prizes for the winner. If you are interested in being a sponsor for this year’s Holiday Passport Program please indicate that through Business Participation Form
  • Share with friends, family & customers - Helping spread the word is the best way to get the community involved! 
     

How will shoppers participate? 

  • Shoppers will download the Over The River & Through The Woods app 
  • At the time of purchase the shopper will scan the provided QR code and enter the Business’s unique code to receive their stamp for that location. 
  • Every participant will earn a prize! Shoppers will earn points based on the amount of locations visited. There will be many different ways to earn points. 
  • Prizes will be distributed the first week of February
