The state of Oregon is upgrading the OregONEligibility, or ONE, system that Oregonians use to apply for the Oregon Health Plan and manage their information. Once the upgrade is completed, beginning Feb. 1, Oregonians will have the option to apply online for medical, cash, childcare, and food benefits all on one application. Meals on wheels will not be delivered on Friday, February 12th due to possible inclement weather. Meals are also not being delivered on Monday, February 15th due to Presidents' Day. The City of Sandy has received an application from Even Better Homes, Inc. to build a Planned Development called “The Views” on two lots north of Highway 26 on either side of Vista Loop Drive. The applicant proposes a combination of detached single-family homes, row houses, and apartment units.
In response to the pandemic, the Sandy Urban Renewal Board recently enacted a new grant program to help our restaurants, bars and athletic clubs create outdoor dining and workout spaces.
The City of Sandy Permanent Outdoor Covered Structures grant program provides up-front funding from the City of Sandy to create permanent outdoor covered structures for qualified businesses in return for a 20% match from the restaurant or gym owner upon completion.
