Request for Proposals for Traffic-Engineering Consultant

The City of Sandy (“City”) seeks proposals from a qualified consultant to provide on-call traffic-engineering services for land use review to the City of Sandy starting April 1, 2022. The City intends to award a contract to one consultant. The City’s need for services will fluctuate and therefore no minimum or maximum amount of work is guaranteed. The primary responsibilities include assisting with review of traffic engineering impacts caused by private development as analyzed through the land use review process including:

Hwy 26 Bypass Feasibility Study

On December 13, 2021 the Sandy City Council and Planning Commission held a work session to discuss the results of a Hwy 26 Bypass Feasibility Study.

SandyNet Rural Fiber with Clackamas Broadband eXchange

Background

In 2019, SandyNet and Clackamas Broadband eXchange (CBX) entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) to provide fiber optic broadband services to homes and businesses outside of Sandy city limits. Since the original IGA in 2019, the following areas have been constructed and are now serviced with gigabit speeds:

  • Forest Service Roads 29, 31, 35, 35a and 35b
  • Hudson/Lusted/Greenvalley Dr area
  • Agricultural Farm off of Bluff Rd
