Given the unfortunate results of the public polling regarding the special district concept, the City Council has asked staff to develop options for the campus property and facilities that will realize cost savings and position the City to meet the Council's goals going forward. The Council plans to revisit the issue and evaluate potential paths forward in the fall of 2020.

The state of Oregon is upgrading the OregONEligibility, or ONE, system that Oregonians use to apply for the Oregon Health Plan and manage their information. Once the upgrade is completed, beginning Feb. 1, Oregonians will have the option to apply online for medical, cash, childcare, and food benefits all on one application. Meals on wheels will not be delivered on Friday, February 12th due to possible inclement weather. Meals are also not being delivered on Monday, February 15th due to Presidents' Day. All city parks are open. Playground equipment is not sanitized. Porta potties are cleaned once a day. All users of outdoor recreation areas must observe state-issued physical distancing guidelines to keep these areas safe for everyone. AARP will not be holding in person tax appointments this year at the Community/Senior Center. A "virtual site" has been set up at the Gresham Senior Center.
The Community/Senior Center is our community gathering place for information, resources, recreational activities, senior group activities, congregate meals, and many other opportunities for social interaction.
The Community/Senior Center is closed to the public until further notice due to COVID-19. Community Services staff is available by email or by calling the center to answer questions and provide information. 503-668-5569.
