Past Due Process Reinstated

City of Sandy to Reinstate Past Due Processes, including late fees and shut offs.

In March 2020, the City of Sandy suspended late fees and water service disconnections for non-payment of past due balances.  Since that time, late notices have been mailed monthly to past due accounts as a reminder of the current balance due. This suspension ends on April 1, 2021, and the normal billing process will resume for all customers.

After April 1, 2021, the past due process will resume as follows:

  • April 6, 2021 – Past Due Notices mailed to all past due accounts.
  • April 19, 2021 – By 4:00 p.m. accounts must be brought current or make a payment arrangement to avoid a disruption of utility services.
  • April 20, 2021 – $50.00 penalty assessed on past due accounts that are disconnected.
  • May 6, 2021 – $5.00 late fee assessed on past due accounts.

To avoid penalties and disruption of service, past due customers will either need to bring their account current no later than April 19, 2021 or call our office to set up a formal payment arrangement.

If you have been impacted by the COVID-19 Pandemic (loss of work, hospitalization, etc.) and are unable to pay your bill, please contact our office immediately.

Payments can be made by mail, online, or at our drop box located at the City Hall. For questions, or to set up a payment arrangement, please call 503-668-7449.
