City Recorder's Office

The Office of the City Recorder maintains the city seal and serves as clerk of the City Council by recording and archiving the official records, proceedings, and legislative history of the City of Sandy. The Office strives to provide professional, courteous, and timely assistance to the City Council, citizens, city departments, and other agencies. The City Recorder publishes agendas and minutes for the City Council, administers city elections, manages city records, fulfills public records requests, and maintains the records for city council, boards, and commissions.

Oregon Revised Statute 192.005 defines a "public record" as any “document, book, paper, photograph, file, sound recording, machine readable electronic record or other material ... regardless of physical form or characteristics, made, received, filed, or recorded in pursuance of law or in connection with the transaction of public business."
