SandyNet Rural Fiber with Clackamas Broadband eXchange

Background

In 2019, SandyNet and Clackamas Broadband eXchange (CBX) entered into an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) to provide fiber optic broadband services to homes and businesses outside of Sandy city limits. Since the original IGA in 2019, the following areas have been constructed and are now serviced with gigabit speeds:

  • Forest Service Roads 29, 31, 35, 35a and 35b
  • Hudson/Lusted/Greenvalley Dr area
  • Agricultural Farm off of Bluff Rd

The following areas are activly being consructed and built out:

  • Colorado Rd
  • Gunderson Rd
 

Service Availability

SandyNet currently accepting orders for both active and pending service territories. Households may request fiber optic service, and CBX will construct the fiber infrastructure from the public Right-of-way (ROW) to the household. SandyNet will furnish the router and provide the broadband service. SandyNet will act as the provider and public facing entity, answering most questions and service orders or issues.
