ODHS Drop-In Assistance

Need assistance paying for food or child care? Are you looking for health coverage? ODHS (Oregon Department of Human Services) may be able to help you! Meet a representative at the library on Tuesdays from 10:30 am to 3pm, in the study room at the Sandy Library. Beginning on October 23rd, there will also be a representative in the Sandy Library from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Sandy Library Writing Group

Do you enjoy writing? Are you looking to improve your current writing skills and be part of forming a supportive and enthusiastic writing community? 
 
Join us in our community room for a writing group led by Gary Dohrer.  Gary is a retired English professor with over 40 years of experience teaching writing and literature.
 
The writing group will meet every other Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

National Night Out 2022

Come out and join your Sandy Police Department this Tuesday, August 2nd from 6 pm to 9 pm for a family friendly free event. Carnival games, dunk tank, foam dart gun range, prizes, and obstacle course activities along with dinner, snacks, and sno cones. National Night Out is a national event that brings communities together with their public safety professionals to share in conversation and fun activities with a focus on community policing and building police legitimacy.

Kid Take and Make - August: Power of Plants

We’re partnering with the Museum Of Natural And Cultural History to bring you the Power of Plants: Super Seeds! —a Take and Make that will inspire learning and hands-on fun.

Pick up your Take and Make at the Sandy or Hoodland library and catch the video on our website on August 15.
