The Sandy Police Department is responsible for the public safety needs within the City of Sandy.  Our mission is to fulfill the law enforcement needs of all people who live, work, or visit  with the highest degree of fairness, professionalism and integrity, while protecting the inherent rights of everyone to live in freedom and safety.

The Planning Division is responsible for guiding the City's land use development process, long range planning objectives, and some components of urban renewal. Planning Division staff are responsible for ensuring that development projects conform to the municipal code and state law.
