Building a New Connection to Bull Run

Bull Run water is a very important component of Sandy’s supply system.  It makes a relatively large supply of water available to our community as our water demands grow, and provides important system redundancy in case of emergencies or natural disasters.

Sandy has three sources of water: Alder Creek, Brownell Springs, and Bull Run. Because Bull Run water is purchased from the City of Portland, it makes sense to maximize our use of Sandy's two city-owned sources; especially Alder Creek which has much higher capacity than Brownell Springs.

Drinking Water System Reinvestment Project

Sandy is a growing community, but our drinking water infrastructure is aging.  We need to act today to ensure we have plenty of drinking water for our community in the decades to come.
