Bonnie Newman is a certified instructor of Tai Chi for Better Balance, an evidence-based program approved by the NIH as a balance retraining program. She received training and certification in 2013 from Dr. Fuzhong Li, Oregon Research Institute.

Trish Smisth & Maggie Horn are yoga professionals dedicated to improving the quality of life for people of all ages!

Participants will practice yoga poses that can be done while seated in a chair. The benefits of chair yoga include, but are not limited to, loosening and stretching muscles, reducing chronic pain, decreasing stress, and improving circulation. 

Carol Cohen is a certified senior fitness instructor and has been teaching for over 30 years. She emphasizes balance and functional fitness that is used every day.

The Mountain Festival Kids Events are BACK!!!

Due to the development of Cedar Park, where the events were typically held, we will be holding the Kids Pet Show and Bike Challenge at Bluff Park.  The Parade will still start and end on Pleasant Street, next to Sandy Grade School.

The City of Sandy is hosting Sandy's First Ever Canine Carnival! Join us for "Yappy Hour" at Sandy Bluff Park on May 16th from 6:00-8:30pm.

Bring your dogs for all sorts of fun activities like free pup cups, bobbing for tennis balls, an agility course, and much MORE! Yappy Hour for adults will include select beers, ciders and food from Boring Brewing.

Features worldwide guitar hero Jennifer Batten (who’s recorded & toured as part of both Michael Jackson’s and Jeff Beck’s bands) and her steampunk hired guns. They are going to put some miles on your dancing shoes, covering some of the 80’s HUGEST rock & pop cuts from the likes of Van Halen, Men At Work, Peter Gabriel, Michael Jackson and many more.
