NW Natural Gas proposes to construct a natural gas regulator station on an approximately 9,370 square foot lot on University Avenue, approximately 250 feet north of Highway 26. Natural Gas is conveyed regionally through pressurized distribution lines. The purpose of the regulator station and associated equipment is to reduce the pressure of natural gas traveling through distribution lines to supply natural gas to the customers of the utility.
Type II Temp/Extension Permit (Ref. File 19-011 TEMP) - Request a one year extension for a temporary structure
Ruthardt Properties LLC submitted a land use application to extend the placement of a portable office located at 36409 Industrial Way. Mr. Ruthardt requests an extension of one year from the original permit (File No. 19-011 TEMP). The structure is a temporary office trailer being used to provide construction and business services while the construction of a new building with site improvements occurs (File No. 19-036 DR).
The City of Sandy submitted an application to replat a series of parcels owned by the City of Sandy and the Oregon Trail School District (OTSD) with four (4) right-of-way segments recently vacated per Ordinance 2018- 28. The subject properties have historically been the site of the Sandy Grade School and Cedar Ridge Middle School, including the football field and associated track, campuses. No building improvements are proposed with the subject replat.
The provision for a home business is in recognition of the needs of many people who are engaged in small-scale business ventures which cannot be expanded to a full-scale enterprise. It is the intent of this section that full-scale commercial or professional operations, which would ordinarily be conducted in a commercial or industrial district, continue to be conducted in the appropriate zoning district and not a dwelling. These regulations apply to family day care businesses.
The Development Services Department is comprised of the following two divisions: the Planning Division and the Building Division. The Department is staffed by six full-time employees. In addition to the typical functions of planning and building, the department issues business licenses, manages urban renewal grant programs, and enforces the municipal code. We are located in the east side of City Hall at 39250 Pioneer Blvd.
