The Sandy Library is now officially recognized by the state as being Bike Friendly!  Stop in during your next bike trip for amenities including free Wi-Fi, restrooms, water, bike parking, and complimentary charging for cell phones.Bike Friendly Business

The Hoodland Library will be moving to a new home on July 1, 2015!  Visit our Hoodland Building page for more information about how this project is progressing.

Upcoming program highlights

You are invited to participate in the third annual Sandy Library Poetry SLAM!  April 16th from 7-9pm.  Sponsored by the Friends of the Sandy Library.  Register online here!

Free Comic Book DaySaturday, May 2nd 11am-2pm Come dressed as your favorite character to the Sandy Library to celebrate Free Comic Book Day! Crawl through the bat cave, make some super-hero gear, and get your picture taken with a comic book character! Prizes will be awarded for best costume.  Oh - and did we say free comic books?  Yeah, those too.

Prudence the dog

Read to the Dog at the Sandy Public Library!  Reading to Prudence is a great low-pressure way for your child to develop reading skills and confidence.  Call the library at 503-668-5537 to sign up for 15 minute sessions.  Every Thursday from 3-4pm.


Sandy / Hoodland Library Advisory Board

The Sandy / Hoodland Library Advisory Board meets on the third Wednesday of each month from 6-7:30pm in the Community Room of the Sandy Library.
