Program Highlights

Coming Soon - Sandy Seed Library The SANDY SEED LIBRARY, "it will grow on you!".

Join in the festivities at the Sandy Library on Saturday, April 15th, from 10am - 5pm.  Learn about gardening and seed-saving. This is a great opportunity for families to play in the dirt together.

Members come to the library and "check out" seed for their garden. Members grow the plants in their garden and, at the end of the season, they let a few plants ‘go to seed.’ From those plants, they collect seeds to return to the Library to replenish its inventory. All seeds are free to members.

The seeds have been graciously donated to launch this program. These seeds are held in trust for the members of our library.

Poetry Slam - Sandy Library!

Date: Thursday, April 13th from 7 pm to 9 pm
Location: Sandy Public Library

Online registration for the Poetry Slam is now open!  Paper registration forms are also available in the library.

Everyone (age 8 and up) is invited to share a poem, or just come to watch and support our local poets.

A Poetry Slam is a performance poetry contest. It is an opportunity for people to share their original poetry with a wider audience. Poets will compete in age categories from grade school through adult. Our SLAM is a multi-age event, topics and language must be appropriate for all ages; other than that limitation, any type of original poem is welcome.
