Parks and Recreation

Our Mission: The City of Sandy's Parks and Recreation team will help engage and strengthen community belonging by developing  and maintaining safe, clean and accessible parks as well as providing inclusive and diverse programs and services.

Our Vision: We aim to advance Sandy's parks, programs, services, and policies while striving to be a leader in the field of Parks and Recreation and a pillar to the community of Sandy.

Headquartered at the Sandy Community/Senior Center, the Parks and Recreation Department enhances quality of life for Sandy residents through recreation programs, services for seniors, community parks, events, and activities.

The Recreation Division offers comprehensive recreation programs,  special events and classes which promote wellness, and provide opportunities to play, learn and build community.

The Senior Services Division provides information, resources, nutritional services, transportation, and social services for adults 60 years and better residing within the Oregon Trail School District (exclusive of the Hoodland area).
