Muna Rustam

As SAM's Transit Program Administrator, Muna oversees all transit administrative responsibilities.  This includes the collection of the self-employment and payroll taxes, travel training, referral and trip planning for the public, as well as community outreach, fiscal responsibilities and general administrative tasks. This position appealed to her because she could assist individuals and families with independence and autonomy, and improve the community while utilizing her business skills.

She has 12 years of experience as a municipality billing specialist and customer service specialist. Along with billing she handled collections, customer resolution, adjustments, providing administrative support to the board and management, and overseeing the front office staff.

Born in Pennsylvania and raised in both Illinois and Texas, Muna moved to Oregon 36 years ago and has lived in the neighboring town of Estacada for 33 years. She has an Integrated Bachelor Degree in Business and Psychology and a Master's Degree in Business Administration. In 2019 she became a Certified Community Transit Manager through the Community Transportation Association of America.

In her spare time, she has volunteered for the library, various athletic youth sports programs, and worked with the homeless. She enjoys spending time with her three kids and four grandchildren as well as home remodeling, yoga, reading, hiking and traveling.
