Clackamas County Business Project

Background

In November of 2021, SandyNet and Clackamas Broadband eXchange (CBX) entered into an agreement to offer business ISP services outside of Sandy city limits. The partnership between SandyNet and CBX is aimed at offering local, reliable and affordable business ISP. The need for additional ISP options for businesses within Clackamas County has grown in recent years, prompting action on county and city levels. The solution was the two entities forming an Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) where CBX would be the operator of the fiber and SandyNet would be the ISP to rides across it. CBX has an extensive fiber optic network throughout the county, and SandyNet has operated a business and residential ISP in and around Sandy city limits since 2004.
