Mini Terrarium Ecosystems

Come join us for a STEM activity where we’ll be building Mini Terrarium Ecosystems, the idea being that these enclosed “ecosystems” ideally will be self-sustaining, needing minimal watering. We’ll use tiny jars to plant our various mosses, ferns, and other plants. We’ll be adding a substrate mix, rocks, and microfauna as well. All materials will be provided and you'll be able to take the terrariums home with you.

Location: Sandy Library Community Room
When: Tuesday, June 25th 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Fantastic Freshwater Ecosystems

Use magnifying devices to observe pond water: what do you see? Come learn about freshwater ecosystems and creatures found in them.
