Mouse and Keyboard Practice

Are you a new computer user with little or no experience using a keyboard and mouse? If so, come to this class and learn how to left-click, right-click, and use basic command keys as you prepare to enter the online world! Space is limited. Registration is required. The City of Sandy, Oregon is seeking statements of qualification from qualified professional consultants specializing in economic development services for technical analysis, planning, and strategic services for an economic development strategic plan.  The project will include the review of relevant community demographic and economic data, a SWOT analysis of our local economy, community visioning and stakeholder group engagements to capture the vision of our residents, an assessment of our local economic climate, and the city’s capacity for additional growth.  This data will culminate in a

SandyNet is a department of the City of Sandy that offers internet-related services to businesses and residents of Sandy as well as businesses and individuals outside of its civil township. SandyNet is an authorized Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) through the Oregon Public Utility Commission (PUC) and a public utility of the City of Sandy that is owned and operated by the people of Sandy. SandyNet primarily focuses on fiber-to-the-home/business.

Given the unfortunate results of the public polling regarding the special district concept, the City Council has asked staff to develop options for the campus property and facilities that will realize cost savings and position the City to meet the Council's goals going forward.  The Council plans to revisit the issue and evaluate potential paths forward in the fall of 2020.
