PGE Public Safety Power Shutoff

Due to extreme fire danger conditions, PGE initiated a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) in the Sandy area (including a small area within city limits) in the early morning hours of Friday 9/9/22.

Cooling Centers / Device Charging

The Sandy Community Center and Sandy Library will be available to serve as cooling centers & phone/device charging centers for those who may be impacted.

Friday September 9th:

Community Center: 9:00 - 4:00
Library: 10:00 - 6:00

Saturday September 10th:

Library: 12:00 to 5:00

Sunday September 11th:

Library: 12:00 to 5:00

 

Clackamas County Resource Center

A resource center will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday at AntFarm Cafe in Sandy (39140 Proctor Blvd). Those affected by the public safety power shutoff can charge devices, or access water, flashlights, batteries, and other supplies.

 

PGE Mobile Community Resource Centers

PGE is stationing resource centers at Firwood Elementary and in Welches to assist residents with water, device charging, and other needs.  More information and location details are available on PGE's website.

 

SandyNet Hotspots

SandyNet has enabled multiple Wi-Fi hotspots around town to help accommodate those in need of an internet connection. Wi-Fi service is available from 7am to 8pm every day. Zones outside of Sandy city limits may be impacted from shut-offs, so please check PGE's PSPS site before visiting (portlandgeneral.com/psps).
