Each year the City of Sandy teams up with the SOLVE non-profit organization to have an annual cleanup day. Volunteers spread out in the city and pick up litter and weeds to beautify the community. Typically the events occur each April, click on the city calendar to see if it is scheduled for the current year. This is a great opportunity to volunteer for your community. You can sign up on the SOLVE website once the annual project has been scheduled, or just show up the day of the event and fill out the volunteer form.
Individuals and organizations meet at the Sandy Community Center, 38348 Pioneer Boulevard, the morning of the event for volunteer instructions, doughnuts, and morning beverages.
Paper shredding is also available for free! This has been a very popular service in the past. The shredding truck will be in the parking lot of the Community Center the day of the event.
