Seed to Supper Community Dinner with Stone Soup at Mt. Hood Farmer's Market !
The Sandy & Hoodland Public Libraries with AntFarm will host “SEED-to-SUPPER, with STONE SOUP”, a harvest festival to celebrate the Sandy Seed Library, AntFarm's Learning Garden, the Sandy Library's Teen Learning Garden, and the Mt. Hood Farmers Market.
Executive Chef Daniel DeHay, from Mt Hood Meadows, will make a free community meal for the crowd (https://www.skihood.com/resort-services/restaurants-and-bars) This event will be held at the Mt. Hood Farmer’s Market, 38600 Proctor Blvd, Sandy, OR 97055, on September 8th.
Meet & Greet, with homemade lemonade, kicks off the event at 5:00pm. At 5:30pm, watch a family friendly play as teens act out the folktale STONE SOUP. Then, at 6:00pm, Chef DeHay will serve a community meal using fresh local food donated by the vendors from the Mt. Hood Farmers Market.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Oregon food bank this event is free to the public, however donations will be accepted to continue to support the Sandy Seed Library and youth learning gardens.
