How to Reserve the Chipper
NOTICE: This service is no longer available. Our chipper recently broke down and the cost of repairs exceeds the value of the machine. The chipper has been in service since 1992 and there are no funds budgeted for a replacement unit. We are pursuing a grant through DEQ's Materials Management Projects program to fund up to half of the cost of a new unit (approximately $60,000) however even if we were successful we wouldn't have access to any funding until June or July, 2017. Failing that we intend to seek funding for a new unit in the City's bi-annual budget process in early 2017. Funds from this source would be available at about the same time as the grant-funded alternative.
Once more is known about a replacement or the timing we will post an update on this page. If you have any questions please call Mike Walker at 503-489-2162 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
