Meetings and Gatherings

Sandy residents are welcome to use the Community Center and other city buildings for meetings, receptions, reunions, and other gatherings. See the City Facilities and Attractions section at left.


When it comes to recreation Sandy has it all. From outdoor pursuits such as the Sandy River Trail, Sandy Skate Park or one of our 13 public parks, to a variety of indoor activities offered in the Sandy Recreation Guide, there is always something fun to do in Sandy.


Sandy hosts a wide variety of events. From the famous Sandy Mountain Festival, held every year on the second weekend in July, to the Sandy Oktoberfest, held in early September, you are sure to find something fun in Sandy. The Sandy River Airport is the base for the Ultralight Flyers Association.

The Sandy Actors Theatre is a community theater with five plays in its regular season and is a 501(C)(3) organization. Phone 503-668-6834.

The  Wy'east Artisans Guild has regular meetings in Sandy at the Clackamas County Bank. They have regular art exhibits in the lobby of the Sandy Actors Theatre and a theme show in the Sandy Library, once a year. They focus on education and promoting art in the community.
